Enrichment Programs
TTNS celebrates the many cultures and backgrounds within the school and in our community. The Music and Spanish programs further enhance each child’s experience at the nursery school. We are proud and excited to offer these robust programs in each classroom.
Music
Miss Jenn guides each class through weekly music instruction, incorporating various instruments, musical styles, and cultures from around the globe. Through music, children will develop of range of skills including rhythmic and tonal competency, small and large motor skills, and language development. Scarves, instruments and drums help engage the senses during each lesson.
Jenn, a certified instructor in the Music Together program, obtained her Master’s in Education with an emphasis on Special Education, and has worked locally in both the public schools and at TTNS.
Spanish
¡Hola! With bilingual teachers in each room, the Spanish language is thoughtfully woven into each class’s curriculum. Under the leadership of Miss Liz (3s Head Teacher), concepts like colors, shapes, counting and other vocabulary are introduced and reinforced in each classroom.
Children may hear their favorite stories, learn to sing songs and listen to music en Español each week, providing a wonderful introduction to the culture and language as they move beyond preschool and into our local public schools.
