A Co-operative School

We’re a Co-op!

A co-operative nursery school is a unique place, in that we welcome parental involvement in each classroom through our Parent/Child of the Day program. The teachers also encourage parents to come into the classroom throughout the year to share a special talent, holiday tradition or project with the children. Parents actively participate on one of our school committees and attend a minimum of one workday each year. In addition, our school is governed by a Parent Board made up of volunteers; members (serving a1 year term) lead the school and partner with school staff throughout the year.

Parent Committees:

  • Fundraising - driving funds through various events to support specific projects/school needs

  • Programs/Events - running school-specific gatherings to foster a sense of community among TTNS families; assisting teachers with in-school holidays and celebrations

  • Grounds/Maintenance - improving and updating the outdoor space (green thumbs are a plus!)
